I just posted a new blog about five minutes ago... but I have more to say.
I just read through almost all of my old posts (probably because I'm trying to put-off packing and studying for my final? ...some things never change.)
As I was reading, I kept finding all of these wild cultural generalizations and hastily-jumped-to conclusions. It was frustrating to read my own work and be so... annoyed, but the change in perspective evident in my writing is truly a testament to how much I have grown and changed since the day I first arrived here.
Anyway... this doesn't count as a blog post. It's more like a disclaimer:
The thoughts and opinions expressed in earlier writing are not necessarily those of my present-day self.
There is always another layer of naivety to be shed, always another lesson to be learned, and always another vantage point from which you can view the world. My thoughts today might not be my thoughts tomorrow, but that's not necessarily inconsistency; maybe it's growth.
